INDIVIDUAL TRAINING

These sessions are designed to offer an individual approach to hockey training. Players benefit from a session uniquely tailored to their individual skills and needs. A SPIRE trainer will work with the player to build strengths, minimise weaknesses, and reach the player‘s personal goals and potential.

This approach helps players master skills and techniques, rapidly improving their success on the turf.

SMALL GROUP TRAINING

Athletes training in small groups are motivated to learn and have a greater understanding of (and stronger retention) of both skills and tactics.

SPIRE offers the opportunity for small groups to develop specific skills and methods of play. Theses sessions are designed to concentrate on the individual needs of participants, and additionally incorporating small game like situations.

This option is a great mix of individual attention and small group coaching. Groups can be made up of team mates looking to work on a specific tactical aspect of play, or just to practice their own techique in challenging situations.

TEAM TRAINING

In Team Training with a higher athlete to coach ratio more focus is on working as a team, setting up plays, tactics and overall team chemistry.

Team training is only successful where a well based structure is in place. SPIRE trainers provide this structure so that the players get full benefit from training to maximise the teams potential.

GOALKEEPER TRAINING

Goalkeeping is a specialised area, an artform that requires great focus, specific skills, determination and bravery.

Goalkeepers need special training sessions to cater for their specific technical, tactical and physical needs.

Goalkeeper training is also available through Individual and Small Group Training.
